Many CAL clients are still using older versions of Dynamics GP, prior to Dynamics GP 2013. This means you are on the old Business Ready Licensing (BRL) or Module Based Licensing (MBL) models. In order to “encourage” you to upgrade to Dynamics GP 2013 with the new Perpetual Licensing model, Microsoft has announced some price changes that go into effect July 1, 2014.

What does this mean for you?
If you think that you will need additional users in the next 6 to 12 months, there is no better time to buy those users before the prices go up on July 1, 2014.

Hint: If you are not sure what licensing model you have look at your customer information in CustomerSource. If your system is called Professional or Standard then you are on the MBL pricing model. If it says Business Essentials or Advanced Management then you are on the BRL model. If you are on Dynamics GP 2013 (or newer) you are on Perpetual Licensing.
