If you are using SalesPad for Dynamics GP you need to look at the fantastic new SalesPad dashboards. With the new SalesPad dashboards you have access to EVERY table stored in Microsoft Dynamics GP. This means that you can get all the financial information you want displayed in a SalesPad dashboard.
For example, you can build a dashboard to answer these questions, ‘What is our cash flow position?’, ‘Do we have open orders?’, ‘What inventory has already come in?’, ‘What inventory has been purchased year-to-date?’ and other questions pulling data for AR, AP, customers, vendors etc…
Once SalesPad dashboards are built, you can refresh them with just one click to view the information anytime.
SalesPad dashboards are very easy to build. It takes only a few minutes to build the connection to your Dynamics GP database and then you have access to everything. I will admit that this is much easier if you have some SQL knowledge, because then you can write queries to answer questions that you’re asking often.
For example maybe your VP wants to know, ‘What is the status of year-to-date sales versus last year?’ If you are running these different queries and know these reports, you can copy the query, paste it into the SalesPad dashboard and build your metric.
If you don’t want to build it yourself, this is something that CAL Business Solutions can easily assist you with.
I have already built quite a few SalesPad dashboards. I am trying to stretch the limits to see how much I can make it do and so far I have not been disappointed.
On the sales side there have not been any questions that I have not been able to build a dashboard for; (I can even include fields of information that are not in SQL, because I can write in my own values with queries.)
