In many industries, organizations need to manage revenues and expenses at the line item level, not at the document level. Before Acumatica 2020 R1, users could only accept and apply payments at the document level either fully or partially. Acumatica did not allow for the reconciliation of payments or receipts at the services billed level.
Now, in Acumatica 2020 R1, you have the ability to apply customer payments for AR at the document line level and to pay accounts, payable vendors, at the individual line level contained on a document. Retainage support is also available at the document line level for both AR and AP.
