Microsoft Business Central (BC) continues to bring new features and improvements to enhance user experience and streamline business processes. The latest release, 2024 Wave 2, introduces several updates that we are excited about.

Here’s a quick overview:

1. Change search methods: Makes it easier to find and manage data within the system. Who doesn’t want easier (& faster) searching?

2. More key tips: The latest update includes enhancements to access keys and keyboard tips, making navigation within the system more intuitive and efficient. With access keys, users press a combination of the Alt key and one or more alphanumeric keys—sometimes called a mnemonic, sequentially, rather than simultaneously. Keyboard tips are keyboard shortcuts that users can quickly access for frequently used tasks, speeding up and improving overall productivity.

3. More languages: Interact in your native language! BC now supports more languages. It’s long overdue, and we’re glad it’s here. There is nothing more accommodating than being able to work in your preferred language. Accessibility and user-friendliness go a long way, making users happy!

4. Resize columns even when personalization isn’t enabled: WHAT? One of the most practical updates is the ability to resize columns in the BC web client. People who work in the web client also need to adjust the width of columns – now they can. These employees / users can now drag or double-click the sides of the column header to adjust the width, providing a more flexible and customized view. Business Central User Experience

5. Drag and drop to attach multiple files: We’ve been waiting for this one. Attaching files to records has never been easier. Simply drag and drop multiple files into the file upload box. Easy-peasy, and a huge time-saver.

6. Better power platform integration: The integration with Power Platform tools has been enhanced, including AI innovations and with Copilot. These integrations help users adapt faster and streamline workflows, leveraging the power of AI to automate tasks and provide intelligent insights.

7. Country and regional features: Updates tailored to specific countries and regions ensure compliance and better support for local business practices. This means that users in different parts of the world can benefit from features that are relevant to their specific business environment.

These new features in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 2 are designed to enhance user experience, improve efficiency, and provide more robust business management capabilities. Whether you’re a small business or a large enterprise, these updates will help you get the most out of your ERP system.
